Great Lakes Paintings
My parents had a cottage on Lake Huron from the time I was four. I grew up every summer and every weekend through out the year playing in Lake Huron, on her frozen mounds in winter and in her shoreline dunes and forests.
I felt strongly bonded with this coastline and it was my greatest friend. The lake and forests spoke to me and calmed me through all of life's journeys. It was my greatest wish to live at the Lake all year long every day and avoid the city and school. As an adult I received my wish and lived in a little cabin off the grid on the Bruce Peninsula for 6 years and then a heritage farm for another 6 years. My time on the Bruce in Black Bear country was my first great adult adventure. I experienced infamous Great Lakes storms and enjoyed the peripheral company of a family of bears.
The "white light" of this area and it's sudden dramatic storms has always fascinated me and inspired my work.
All of these painting are SOLD, however, Circle Arts Gallery in Tobermory Ontario continues to represent my paintings.
